Five Destinations to Wow your Delegates this Spring

The Korea Tourism Organization has officially released its 2018 Spring Blossom and Cherry Blossom Forecast and we are excited to reveal some of the best spots to enjoy spring in Korea, for your delegates’ pleasure.

Seoul is usually packed with spring conferences during the months of March, April, and May. Apart from its vibrant urban landscape, delegates can easily enjoy the cherry blossoms and other flora. If you are attending a conference in COEX, simply hop on a subway and check the beautiful Seokchon Lake right beside the Lotte World Tower or match the date of your event on this year's Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival.

Where to meet: Get a picturesque view of the popular Namsan Tower at the National Museum of Korea (8,000+ pax).

Changwon, in Gyeongnam, is the iconic destination to see the cherry blossoms in Korea. But more than the beautiful natural scenery it offers, the city is actually strategically developed to serve as Korea's transportation hub. It is also home to several major industrial companies including Doosa, Samsung Heavy Industries, and LG electronics. Don't you wish your industrial tour scheduled on the peak season of spring?

Where to meet: Can't wait for summer? Changwon Marine Park (350 pax) offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean in its observatory.

Gyeongju is often referred to as a 'museum without walls' and this museum instantly offers a meeting venue with unbeatable views of gorgeous cherry blossoms. Located Southeast in Korea, Gyeongju is an underrated meeting destination. The city was Korea's previous capital during the Silla Dynasty and fragments of this past is easily spotted around the area. Don't miss the cherry blossoms at areas of Dongbu Historic Sites, Bomun Tourist Complex, and Bomun Lake.

Where to meet: Add a touch of Korean Traditional Style in your meetings at Hwangnyongwon (830 pax).

Gangwon recently hosted the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The sporting event has brought several improvements to the infrastructure in the region including accommodation, restaurants, and meeting spaces. Meeting planners can take advantage of the region's specialized industries such as ceramics, biotechnology, medical services, oriental medicine, and disaster prevention. Gangwon is a MICE destination for all seasons. Its beautiful natural sceneries are not to be missed. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Gyeongpo-ho Lake during spring and be awed of the cherry blossoms lined paths.

Where to meet: Get a breathtaking view of mountains blanketed with flowers at Alpensia Resort (2,500 pax).

Jeju is located in the southernmost part of South Korea, making it the first region to see the blossoming of spring flowers. This world-class resort island is a popular destination both for locals and foreigner - especially, with its visa-free policy to 180 countries. Also, in June 2007, Jeju was designated by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site and was awarded with a UNESCO Triple Crown in Natural Sciences.

Where to meet: Simply by stepping out of Jeju ICC (4,300 pax), you'll be surrounded by yellow canola flowers.
